Big SuR Outhouse by Lisa

I have somehow managed to equate friendships to the importance of outhouses....
They each help carry the load!

Which is why when I saw this image from Rick St. Dennis' Etsy store, I knew it had to be on a card.
Here is the wonderful image Big SuR Outhouse 2013 colored in Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

Hope you've enjoyed your visit and my twisted humor ;)

Paris High Fashion with a Challenge

Welcome to a new week! Mema’s Craft challenge blog has a month long challenge featuring Rick’s (RSD) digital images. Today is the mid-point for this challenge. The theme is “Lace & Feathers,” a very fun theme and right up my alley.

This challenge is perfect for one of Rick’s “Hat Ladies,” located in his Etsy shop, under the section “Lovely Ladies.” He has some beautiful “Lovely Ladies” listed. They are very detailed oriented, fun to color, and the facial expressions are amazing.

For my project I chose “Paris High Fashion.” Paris High Fashion was first printed twice and colored with Copics. One image was fussy cut and popped up on the second image with foam squares. I have a lot more information on my blog, AJ’s Designs. I hope you drop by.

Head on over to Mema’s Craft Challenge for your chance to win some Rick St. Dennis images. After you have entered, and your little piece of art is using a Rick St. Dennis image, please come join our groups on Facebook and Paper Craft Planet. We would love to see you.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to see you again.

Left of the center challengeblog challenge 14

Hi all, Mo here,

another tag this time for a gdt for Left of the center blog challenge 14 where Rick is sponsoring, and yes I was late......
sorry
theme is No designer papers.
The tag background is Deco Art American acrilyc paint and stamps
first a layer of light buttermilk DA 164, stamped the the White rabbit , which is a Rick St. Dennis Rubber stamp from IBFS, masked it and stamped the clocks, then a layer of weathered wood crackle medium, then added Baby Blue DA042, let it crack and whiped the blue of on parts of the tag to make the tags visable.
To finish I used a glaze using a mix of Deco Art glaze medium and traditional burnt umber
The clock has a layer of Metallic lustre on it (black)
the white rabbit stamp is coloured using pencils

questions, you can contact me here

You Want WHAT by Lisa

Know anyone who tampers with the gifts under the tree before Christmas?
Guilty as charged!!
I'm horrible and should be on 24/7 watch during the holidays.
I can't help it.  The pretty bows and paper and tiny tags...just too stinking cute!

So who better to keep me at bay than this incredibly intimidating Santa from Rick St. Dennis.
Here is You Want WHAT on a tag.
For more pictures on this tag, please visit my blog here.
Hugs,
Lisa x

September Saturday Freebie Time

Morning folks.
I hope you have all regained peace and quiet after the school holidays. The schools re-opened their doors a few weeks ago in Scotland, but I know that some schools are only just starting the new term. I remember the frantic uniform buying like it was only yesterday - my little devils darlings are a few years too old for that now **happy dance**. How many of those sparkly new uniforms are going to last until 2014? How many patches will be needed in those knees?
There are, of course, some of you that don't have children; but you were one once. To remind us of those days gone by and, for some, those days yet to pass; a couple of cheeky images from Rick St Dennis MFA.

Now, if you are a subscriber to Rick's Newsletter, you will have received this gorgeous pair of angels, well Bitsy isn't showing her best side right this moment, but she is/looks like an angel when asleep. Buddy on the other hand looks like your typical teacher's pet. Both images will be available in Rick's Etsy shop shortly.
If you're not already a subscriber to the Newsletter, why not? A couple of new images a month for free from Rick and a heads up on all the up and coming events. Daft not to be when all it takes is to send an email to Rick with your email address in the text. For more info. it's available on Rick's blog. There will be no more freebies available on the blogs because of the unkind people that share them on Pinterest. It was a hard decision to make but digi theft has become a major concern for many artists, not just Rick. So, if you want to continue benefiting from Rick's generosity, the subscription to the emailed Newsletter is a necessity. Also, I nearly forgot to mention, the monthly challenges where there is the possibility of winning yet more images from Rick start again next month. You will need these freebies to enter.

We always look forward to seeing your projects on facebook and Papercraft Planet. Please come along and show us what you make.

The girls of the EDT have got together and made a few projects featuring this month's freebies. The diversity of the projects only highlights how versatile this pair are.
The Airless Chambers blog will feature our naughty little girl in more detail and here on Sparkle and Glitter we will concentrate on Buddy.

Witchy Bear!

Happy Day here at Sparkle and Glitter!  I say that because of my favorite holiday, Halloween.

I have a little treat for you. It’s another art card with one of Rick St. Dennis’s Halloween Bears at I Brake for Stamps. These stamps come in a set and they are just the cutest and so much fun to color.

This little one was colored with Copics, trimmed out, and mounted on a circle die cut. That was then mounted on two scallop circle dies.

Now it’s time to complete this little piece of art. The paper is from my stash. I added the spider web after adding 3-D stamp paint. Then I went bat crazy. You never can have enough bats, I’ve always said. There is a lot more information on my blog, AJ’s Designs, with all the details for this project.

Are you ready for Halloween? You have plenty of time to visit Rick’s Etsy shop or hop over to I Brake for Stamps and pick up a few digis or rubber, whichever one you prefer.

After you have completed your project, I hope that you share it with us in our Facebook group, Rick St. Dennis MFA Fans & Friends. We also have a Paper Craft Planet group too. We would love for you to stop by there.

That’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.
